2007 Topps Heritage

So,
Not much chatter about these lately. Whats going on? Has everybody pre-purchased their cases? From where and who?

I know that you are pissed that it looks like production will be at a high for this product. Is THAT the reason?

Dodgers collection scans | Brett Butler registry | 1978 Dodgers - straight 9s, homie
I didn't do last year due to finances.
I have not pre-ordered a case. Will probably buy some hobby and just buy the retail blasters.
Very disappointing.
And I will miss Kevin in the fray.

Mike, it is not encouraging that YOU are not encouraged about heritage. I can't picture myself not ripping box after box as the thread heats up ..... I don't know.

I still can't wait to tear into some.
Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason.
My Pirates Collection
I got them from lrcards, same for the last two years. What I usually do is build a set for myself, and sell the rest on eBay and use the proceeds to work on a vintage set.
<< <i>I am in for a case. I think Topps may have killed this golden goose. I think the long numbers are going to kill the chromes and refractors. I don't think the interest will be there. Topps probably thinks that they can stick it to the Heritage diehards and there will be some carry over from all of the Allen & Ginter collectors. All of the extra Mantle and ARod cards are going to get tiresome.

Would you be able to elaborate a bit more on what you mean when you say "long numbers"?
The only two rumors I've heard about the Heritage product this year is that Topps is going to be printing many more cards, and there are extra ARod and Mantle cards that will be perceived as another subset or SP's.
Are you saying that Topps is sticking it to the real diehard set collectors by adding these extra SPs? Or are you saying the larger print runs are going to mean more common cards in boxes and less chances of pulling SPs?
Any insight is appreciated. I've collected every set since 2002 through Ebay and some trades on this forum (for the first time last year). I'm anxiously awaiting this year's product. I'm not big on the subsets, so I probably will skip the Mantle and ARod cards, but I'll be sure to put together the entire set along with all of the SPs.
I didn't do it last year - which was the first I missed.
So, I will be looking for trades!
The people here are great to trade with - this will be the 4th year with Heritage and CU - previous years I was on my own.
Ya can't beat it - so count me in!
As for SPs, I can't see Topps having half the set as SPs 110 regular cards, 330 chromes cards, 35 subset cards is bad enough. But to add the Mantle and ARod cards is criminal. It will be interesting to see how they value out. I'm surprised that Topps hasn't posted the info and checklist on its web site. It will be released in three weeks. Counting the days.
I am still going to build this set though obviously because even with all of the negative things that have come out about this set it is still the most interesting set to build out of the past years. Luckily I dont collect the autos, just the set, subset, and chrome's. It just sucks that everything else that I usually sell to offset my purchase price is SO WATERED DOWN!!!
Please if anyone gets information on when they will list the Short Print cards in the set please post it or email me at baily013@yahoo.com, I would really appreciate it, and maybe we could do some trading in the near future.
GOOD LUCK with all of your box's I would love to see some of those cut autos this year. Didnt see any on ebay last year.
