GAI wax - water damage, what should I do?

I bought two GAI 8.5 boxes of 1977 Topps Star Wars. The cards have humidity/water damage. GAI will not reimburse me since the packs are fairly clean and don't show damage. I tend to agree with them, there really isn't anyway they could know.

My question is this:
Should I sell the remainder of each box on ebay as damaged product (I am about 5 packs into each), or keep ripping as some of the cards are not damaged?

At this point, I would just rip the rest and chalk it up to lessons learned.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

  • it's a common problem with some of the older wax stuff....especially if stored in just a rental box.or U-rent space.

I have bought several Donruss M.A.S.H boxes that looked case fresh....the packs were gorgeous..

Same deal upon opening them..every card was damaged either to gum....or the gum melting in extreme heat from storage.
The cards that weren't soiled with gum residue or oil from the gum....had water marks on them.

Again...if in the humid summer they sit in storage without a de-humidifier....they will eventually absorb some water or condensation. Especially if stored on concrete.....concrete kills cardboard in no time!!
