$449 is a steep price to pay for a little over 6 oz. of silver.
I wonder why they did these in quarter ounce proofs?

Also, anybody know if these are one-of-a-kind, specially
made proofs only for this set?

There are only 30k sets in Silver and 17k sets in gold ..

PA was pre selling them in January dunno how many are left - They are in stock at PANDA now but they jacked the price
now that they are in stock to $545 or something like that ... Low mintage numbers sell ... I just got the SIlver set I ordered in January in today .. So I think they will be gone quickly

I don't think the issue price is applicable to panda's since the public cannot buy from the mint straight, only from the dealers.

You can buy at APMEX, silver is $440 ad gold set is $1295.

BTW, do any one of you collectors use any kind of coin albums for your panda collections? If you do, can you share what kind you use and why?
