Congrats to Tony Dungy

A well deserved congratulations to one of the classiest head coaches in all of football. Seems ironic that the 2 lowest key guys (lovie smith, dungy) are the two coaches in the super bowl, when all you hear all season is the bluster and fury of loud mouthed head coaches everywhere.

I think I heard that next year may very well be his last year in the league, that he doesn't see himself as a lifetime coach - that his family is too important to him.

    Gruden won Super Bowl w/ Tony's team......check out Gruend's track record since....

    Tony's been in 17 playoff games, won 9 (inclucing a SB) been in the hunt every year he's coached the Colts, I think he deserves some props...

    Yeah 11-5 last year was terrible right? Let's not forget the number of first and second round draft picks that were lost to acquire Gruden. And using the same deluded line of reasoning, Gruden's Raiders went to the super bowl, right? I mean he was the coach the year before, so it surely was his team that went there? And then perhaps you know what the Raiders did before and after Gruden got there, right?

    This year, he went 4-12, last year he went 11-5. Try to keep up.

    Dungy won a super bowl with Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne
    Gruden won a super bowl and Brad Johnson, Keyshawn Johnson, and Keenan McCardell!

    Last Sunday Tony Dungy actually won his second Super Bowl. The first one he won was simply handed to JonBoy Gruden who is the most overrated coach in the history of the NFL, possibly in sports history since the days of the first Greek Olympics.

    Gruden won with Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, Ronde Barber, John Lynch, among others.
    I don't know that I'd put Dwight Freeney, Cato June, and Bob Sanders up there with that group.

    The bucs defense was always good. Dungy just didn't have enough to get them over the top. I would be willing to get that
    Gruden would of found away to beat the Rams back in 99 if the D only gave up 11 points to the "greatest show on turf!"

    Defense is nice,but you have to have offense to win. Gruden put together a team that was so much better than all the other
    teams that it was almost not funny...and this wasn't a Bears team who beat up on crappy playoff teams, this was a bucs
    team beating the packers in their prime and the eagles in their prime.

    It took Dungy 3 years with a loaded team, and an opponent that sucked to get him a ring. Congrats!

    Bucs fans enjoy your boy Gruden while you can. I predict he becomes the first head coach fired in the 2007 NFL season.
