griese isnt much better, there is a reason why denver didnt keep him. and that no team signed him to be their starter this year.

Grossman and griese both suck. Need to look for a new quarterback in draft or in trade. Please.
  • Griese was 5-0 with tampa before getting injured, and proved to be quite effective...there's a (deservedly) wary state that teams take with QBs who have suffered major injuries...how many teams passed on Drew Brees? Yet he came out and was a stud. But look at Culpepper...came back too soon and was a bust.

Griese sucks. Only on a pathetic team like the Bucs could he even be considered as a starting QB.

Yep. And it was difficult to watch tonight. Griese may have been able to move them a bit on the underneath passes, but maybe not.

Griese is not his dad, and Grossman will not turn into the star the Bears think he will.

The plain truth is Grossman is absymal, Griese is a proven winner.

did you miss that day in math class?

  • Anyone can see Griese is a better qb than Rex.

    Griese is a proven winner.

    as in winning %?
  • Obviously your opinion is formed...nothing I can say will change that.

    But Griese's the superior QB.

The only thing Grossman didn't seem to turnover last night is a new leaf... He played terribly.

  • What ever happened to Kyle Orton?
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

I think the Saints paid him big time starters money in FA this last off season. If they hadnt another team would have. The Saints just ponied up the $$$ faster.

  • Have to think of all the teams that might have ponied up big money, the Saints would be your first choice?

No offense to any saints fans, but:

    -coming off a 3-13 season
    -unsure of the team's home
-the city of NO still a mess

I'd have to think that if there were a lot of offers on the table, he'd have signed elsewhere, no? It worked out great for both parties, but it could have been a disaster.

Seeing as McNabb will most likely be back at near 100% next year, maybe the Bears ought to consider Jeff Garcia if he doesn't resign with the Eagles. From Garcia's standpoint, why would he resign just to be a backup? As far as what's on the market right now, he wouldn't be such a bad choice for Chicago.

Garcia would not be a bad option over Grossman, also they need to draft a QB and groom him on the sidelines for a year or two, that seems to work better than throwing them right in the fire.

Wow ... this was in effect Grossman's rookie season based on injuries/playing time. Name me one rookie QB to start every game and lead his team to a Superbowl win. The Bears offensive co-ordinator job has been pathetic for years. This year the play calling got a bit better but they were still protecting a "rookie" QB. The Bears are better off rolling with Grossman for another year or two before pulling the plug and inserting a journeyman QB. What did that get Minnesota with Johnson?
Looking for a Glen Rice Inkredible and Alex Rodriguez cards
  • Think about it for a second..........he was playing in the Super Bowl while 30 other NFL starting quarterbacks were sitting at home watching him!!! He isn't the best, but he did enough to get his team to the big game. He also wasn't the one on the field missing tackles and giving up 29 points. With the quality of quarterbacks out there now, I stay stick with the guy until you can find a proven talent.
