SB Commercials

Not much to love in the first half. I liked the Coke Grand Theft Auto one best, but not impressed thus far. For $2.6m per 30 secs there have been some lame ones.

Lame commercials for the SB. The movie previews have been the funniest so far.

They sucked - no doubt about it. Where was Paris Hilton when you needed her?

And real football fans don't listen to Prince music. image

I give them an aggregate grade of D.

Connectile Dysfunction? Salesgenie? Bud Light Monkeys? Crappy Go Daddy?

Sadly, the KFed may have been the best.

Now that somebody said it before me, I was actually surprised that he had some talent. Not that I would buy his CD but I might not change the radio station if his song comes on.

Most commercials did stink but I liked the Coke/GTA one. I was surprised out how much commercial space that CBS used to promote their other shows. Wasting 2.6 Mill of air time for shows that will be canceled in 6 months. If I owned the station, I'd be selling most of the airtime to big companies.
  • The godaddy ones are always great, and the judges were the american chopper guys (I thought they were, but took a second viewing for me to be sure).

I'd have to say the Letterman/Oprah spot was hilarious.

In most of the commercials it seemed like violence was the theme. Overall I thought they were brutal.

I liked that Coke was at least trying to be different and their take on the video game violence was actually quite clever.

I heard that some guy had raised 75k through his website, and had some company front the rest, to get a commercial to propose to his gal. I never saw it, but if I was his lady, I'd be PO's that the blew 75k on something that he could have done for $100 at dinner downtown. You can get a big ring for 75k (or a nice vintage rookie card). image

  • I liked the Blockbuster Video online commercial...
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

I liked the NFL commercial at the end. It talked about knowing when its over and had fans packing up their teams stuff. Then at the end it said For Some it takes longer than others, cut to Favre with a football. Too bad he had made his mind up on Friday, otherwise that really would have been a laugher.
