I tend to put it in the jewelry because it is a pinback and is not a permanant part of a uniform like a button.
<< <i>i don't want to start trouble here, but don't mind busting lm's butt a little......i have never heard a soldier refer to a military pin as jewelry?....now i don't know for sure and i could be wrong, but shouldn't something like that be in the relic category?..... >>
You're right to bring it up. Because it was a pin, AND sterling silver, I entered it in Jewelry. Had it been brass or bronze like the cool WW1 tank badge HKnJ found, I would've put it in Relic.
Really, it was a fine line and I suppose it could go either way.
It probably shouldn't be leading Zot's gold snake ring, in any event. I voted for Zot's snake but I see I actually have a three-vote lead with the paratrooper badge as of this posting.
<< <i>Very cool find. >>
Absolutely!!!
Congrats Rob!
