tough call for me between LM and Zot's finds... image

i don't want to start trouble here, but don't mind busting lm's butt a little......i have never heard a soldier refer to a military pin as jewelry?....now i don't know for sure and i could be wrong, but shouldn't something like that be in the relic category?.....i'm sure someone will set me straight on this.....there are some nice finds across the board for this months contest, especially for this time of year....good luck and stay warm

Dubba, it is a fine line to call it jewelry.
I tend to put it in the jewelry because it is a pinback and is not a permanant part of a uniform like a button.

You're right to bring it up. Because it was a pin, AND sterling silver, I entered it in Jewelry. Had it been brass or bronze like the cool WW1 tank badge HKnJ found, I would've put it in Relic.

Really, it was a fine line and I suppose it could go either way.

It probably shouldn't be leading Zot's gold snake ring, in any event. I voted for Zot's snake but I see I actually have a three-vote lead with the paratrooper badge as of this posting.
