Your link does not work - but I checked the auction # and it looks like the card is offered by waverly82. If the raw card you are considering is from waverly82 I believe there is a thread on here about him. I think you are better off buying the PSA 8 on ebay right now.

    Is this the card?

edit: if this is the card - ya can't see the bottom right corner well - but the card looks pretty nice - tho I don't like the centering R/L - but it does fall into the 8 criterion tho. So if the lower right corner is as nice as the others? Looks like it has a good chance at an 8 IMO. Ya gotta ask about production wrinkles on the back tho - if the back is good - this card is only centering away from a potential 9?

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Even if Waverly82 does have cards that have been questioned, where the heck does he keep coming up with all these seemingly terrific cards? I can't believe he buys a lot and than spends the time to "sharpen" them. It really is pretty amazing the amount of high quality stuff this guy offers.

    I'd say it was a solid 8oc with a chance at a 9oc.

Agree with blue. Only way this card grades 8 or higher is with an OC qualifier.

I have never dealt with him, but here is a link to a past thread:

Many complaints of recolored and trimmed cards. He does somehow continue to get the most incredible prices realized I have ever seen on ebay. I personally steer very far away from them.
  • an 8 or 9 oc. it looks like a straight 8 without any qualifier.

Seeking primarily PSA graded pre-war "type" cards

  • I have bought many 71's from him. About half come back recolored. Check his feedback you don't see many big time buyers bidding on his stuff. This should tell you something. But on the other hand I have seen Scottsusor win some of his auctions.
  • Left side looks trimmed.
Buy graded or you could be sorry on this one!
  • 8OC @ best 6 NQ

  • Thanks 66 starfire........I did receive an email back from Eric and I am not completely reassured...this is
what he said..."I have looked them over and do not think there are any issues. Surely there are no "magic marker" corners, as there is no bleeding onto the edges. I do offer a 7 day return policy, but you will have to decide for yourself if you think they are as described. I will not accept returns after that time frame for any reason, as there has been so much baiting and switching of cards in the past. My feedback speaks for itself as far as my rep is concerned. Thanks"

    I don't know really??? I'll think I skip them....
  • When in doubt get it slabbed twice

Kevin, i still can't believe that GAI graded a PSA slabbed card. Looks like the holder is a perfect fit as well. This must have been one of GAI's earlier strategies to boost revenues.
  • Nope, it was my idea. I wanted to protect the autograph on the outside of the slab. It was a wild thought at the time and the holder was just a lucky fit.

    Now that is sweet!!!
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12
