that wore that one... working with those early tanks! (WTG on that find HKnJ!)
Lots of cool finds this month everyone
<< <i>I chose HKnJ's WWI British Tank Corps collar disc... very cool to think about the guy >>
Thanks, Riccar. Your find has similar circumstances except it's not British. Or is it?
If it's not for you we would never have found out the history of the piece.
Glad to help. Google is funny that way... sometimes you find stuff,
sometimes you don't.
<<Your find has similar circumstances except it's not British. Or is it?>>
From what I found (again, on Google), mine is from U.S. WWI infantry... and,
a lot more common or at least not as collectible. (worth of yours, if I remember
correctly, was about 4 or 5 times as much as mine... only one link about yours
but many similar to the infantry one)
Personally, I like the history of the tank a lot, how it ties to the cavalry and other
related history... very cool find.
Lafayette Grading Set
Normally I would've probably gone with HKnJ's WW1 tank badge- that is ubercool, and I see it is battling John's silver spoon (another worthy choice) for the top slot.
However, since it was found in my hometown, with me present personally while it was dug, I have to vote for 30AnvZ28's chauffer badge. It's an enviable find- I do not have one from this city. He's from out of town and now he does! It looks better in person than in his picture, too.

hee hee hee!....i think you're right!

Nice, I just chuckled.
Almost a three way tie.
Being an ex-tanker, I love that tanker brass.
