Inexpensive Bust Dollar on E-Bay--PCGS FR02--$499 BIN--Not Mine

Someone might want this for a type set. If it were more attractive I would have hit BIN.

You had me thinking about it, but the timing is just wrong for me.

Help me understand something. How is it this coin has tons of wear on the 9:00 side of the Obverse and alot less on the 3:00 side?

Could be a factor of strike or inconsistent planchet thickness. I'm sure if it were bent it would not be slabbed.

Their technology at the time was much different than ours. It is possible the plancent was thicker on one side, it is also possible the way the coin was struck lead to the affect.
