Help with this old, OBSCURE ISSUE. What are these?

Help. What are these. I have 24 of these (22 baseball players and 2 boxers). They are not as thick as a card, but thicker than paper. Probably as thick as a photo. They are the same height as a regular issue baseball card, but are a little more narrow. I have an SCD catalog, but don't know where to look. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. SCD says that in the 1980's half of the set (which I have) surfaced (and I quote) - a) either in a New York warehouse; or b) was illegally reprinted. These have square corners. It indicates that the originals have rounded corners.

So, do I for sure have the illegally printed ones? Did any originals have square corners?

After reading again, it seems as if that the price listed is for those cards, regardless.

    Does PSA grade these?

I am no expert but based on the PSA site I would say no (taken from population report)

1947 BOND BREAD (NO LONGER GRADING)

    TED WILLIAMS 1 1

Thanks. I need to renew my membership. I couldn't look. I didn't find any PSA graded on Ebay. They seem to sell fairly well in raw form, though. These that I have are NM-MT. They are very nice.

  • Shucks. Hoping for a Dempsey. Thanks though and good luck with the cards!
