Do you study a coin when you receive it to make sure it is what you expected?

I know I always look at my new arrivals to make sure they live up to their expectations. How in depth to you get when looking. I study them without a glass, I then step up to my old camera lens backwards (55mm from a 35mm SLR--If you have one a normal lens from a 35mm SLR give it a try), I then use my 20x, sometimes my 30x, and then my microscope if warranted. When buying plastic, one needs to make sure they are buying the coin within.
Please feel free to share how you scrutinize a new arrival for your registry sets.

Examine with the 5x magnifier.
Steps and bands with 25x mag glass.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Thats how its done out west.

Probably a number collector might do what I posted in the last reply. I think all real collectors look at the coins they buy immediately. If they don't they should.
Cheers Folks.
