Dark Toned Roosies - Pics for Your Comments

jmski52jmski52 Posts: 23,965 ✭✭✭✭✭
I have some rolls with end-toned Roosies, some of which are dark, but evenly toned. Tell me what you think - are the dark ones too dark?

I will post some brighter ones tomorrow, now that I'm getting the hang of my imaging software.

Those are some amazing rolls. What years are they and what do you want for one of them?

I like them. Your photos make them look just fine.

The "dark" ones look like potential monsters (for Roosies).

Yes, they ARE too dark. Send them to me and they will get brightened. Or, they will brighten my day at least. I'll trade you them for some spanking brand new shiny rolls. I think they look great! They look ready to submit for slabbing if you're so inclined. Maybe take out the end coins, place another newer one, or, another one of the same date in the middle. Then re-seal them for more toning. That way, you might be able to grow them like crystals in those sets. Thanks for sharing! Rayimage

These rolls are all 1959-P. I will be posting the more colorful ones from the same group of rolls today or tonight.

Problem is, only one coin is showing in each roll. The other end is cardboard, but I think that's a good thing.

Connecticoin & raycyca - you are telling me that the gray-looking ones are good too, as long as there is color? Monsters?

Myqqy - no 1970s, but some of these kinda look like clads, because they are evenly gray, just a little bit of color left.

Unfortunately, I'm not a dealer, so I can only sneak in a certain amount of time on coins before I have to get back to work. (But I'd still much rather mess around with coins.) Eventually, these will probably go up for sale, but not for awhile.

They look good. The less colorful tones would not be woith slabbing unless very high grade.
