2006-W ASE Proofs are almost gone it appears

Is it about time, or is it hard to believe they are finally close to a sell out????

Now that these babies are in 'backordered' status....it's just a matter a time before they go away.

As usual, your comments are most appreciated. image

Someone asked why these proofs were on the cheap side....well, now maybe that they are almost extinct.......

..........the true census on the 2006-W ASE proofs will finally be known!!!

Can't wait for the number crunchers to tally the final ASE pops!!!!!!

Now, I can finally set my sights to 2007!!!!!image

I suspect the numbers to be over the 1,000,000 mark - relegating them to never be worth more than issue price unless the price of silver goes to the moon. The only date with higher production than this year is 1986, the first year with mintage over 1.4M pieces (which still sell for ~$30).

Seriously, I use one as a paperweight at home. They're never gonna be worth more than issue, unless silver goes up appreciably.

they make up about 80% of the items for sale on ebay when one types "2006-w silver eagle" into the search box...
