What Are These Numbers??

This is the second time I've seen this, and I've heard that there are much more out there just like this one. It's some kind of number printed on bat cards, anyone know where these come from??? The only explanation I can think of is that they cut up the bat, print numbers on the back of them to idenity which bat it belongs to, and they put it in the wrong way in the card.
