1996 Metal Universe Question

What's the difference between the regular version and the "platinum" edition?

I've got to say, these modern cards are *very* tough for me to figure out. I only collect my Will Clark cards, so I don't keep up on the trends and parallels, which makes it incredibly difficult for me to even identify what I have sometimes...

    Standard Catalog says:

Special version (Platinum Edition) has the textured foil background rendered only in silver. The second line of the logo/ID strip at the bottom also identifies the card as part of the Platinum Edition.

Edited To Add: I tried scanning one that I have but my scanner is not picking up where it says Platinum Edition but they are clearly marked on the front.

Hi, The platinum versions are VERY NICE LOOKING!! They are nearly all PLATINUM/SILVERISH on the Front, except for the Player! The cards are not tough to find but Since the selling price is usually low, I am sure many sellers on ebay won't even bother putting it up! The cards beauty is Totally underrated, just like the Pinnacle Museum Collections of the late 1990's.

Indeed, as someone who's collecting Fleer/Ultra/Flair insert sets from 1992-95, the insert sets can be near impossible to find. But at least you can get them for practically nothing compared to what they were when they first came out.
