Help Identify please

Hi i was wondering if any one would be kind enough to help with this coin. Its size is silver dollar. Any help on what it is and what it may be worth would be much appreciated.

    Relic65,

It's an 8 reales, but I would need to see the reverse to help you any further.
  • Ok Thanks alot for looking. Heres the reverse side
  • There are at least three possibilities: KM#466.4 (Spain), KM#117.1 (Peru) and KM#84 (Bolivia). Mexico is not an option as it had already achieved independence by 1820.

Pending a look at the reverse and determining the mintmark/mintmaster initials, I'm leaning toward Bolivia because of its closest match to the lettering style and the relationship of the point of the bust to the legend.

The weight of coins from the three countries varies, but all are close to 27g.

EDITED: The reverse was posted while I was typing.

It is not Bolivian, but the Beautiful Bride has asked for my attention, so I can't further research it until later. Perhaps someone else will find the answer before I get back.

99% likelihood that it is a replica or possibly a contemporary counterfeit.

Mexico actually achieved its independence from Spain in 1821. It "declared" in 1810.
