No animals (ie horse racing), or mega events such as Olympics or X-games....simply sports you most look forward to watching on a seaonal basis......

    Because it only comes around every 4 years, I consider the World Cup an Olympic-like megaevent. Otherwise, it'd easily be #1.

    Far and away #1 is the NHL, especially Canadiens, Sabres & Penguins (and the Blues, of course).

    Distant 2nd: Golf, PGA then LPGA then Seniors.

    Distant 3rd: Women's Tennis...Sharapova's drubbing killed me the other night.


    I love the World Cup Soccer tournament, NCAA men's bball and good boxing matches. I like watching a baseball game on tv when there is a great pitcher like a Clemens for example.

    2. tennis (very distant second, I liked Edberg, Graf, ..... so I no longer watch it)
    3. Boxing (very distant third, I liked George Foreman and Mike Tyson, but now I don't watch it at all)

    World Cup Soccer would easily be #1 if I could put that followed by Summer and Winter Olympics occupying a spot alongside MLB. The only football or basketball I enjoyed was watching my high school play.

    You are correct. I've just lost a lot of interest in the NHL in the aftermath of the Lost Season. It's even worse this year than last. I still enjoy watching hockey, but I've followed MLB much more closely than the NHL over the last two years.

    Five minutes per night of ESPN news keeps me up on anything else I need to know about sports ...

    I actually just watched the PGA all weekend in HD(which I first got about 2 months ago). I couldn't turn it off. I felt like I was there. Highly entertaining.
