Quarterly freebie and a newb question..

I was thinking of sending in this liberty nickel I have to take advantage of the quarterly special.

Would this extra bit of metal on the denticles get it bb'd? This'll be my first submission.





The coin has lots of die cracks to boot but it's my best looking liberty head nickel so I thought

for the price of return postage I'd send it in.

No, that little bit of metal would not get it body bagged.

Cleaning would, but I cannot tell from that photo if it is cleaned.

Just because there is a quarterly special don't feel compelled to use it. At best I think you get an AU58 to MS61 on that coin. Worth about $15-$25. You will need to spend what, $22 for shipping round trip? I bought an MS63 for $45 or so recently. Is it worth it? Buy a graded one for a few dollars more, then you have two coins!
