Who is your ebay nemesis?

Mine is member7425162. In the past week alone this ebay buyer has outbid me on 4 different Dempsey related items. Usually my bid would be more than enough to beat out all other bids until this guy snipes in one second after me.

At first I didn't mind but now I'm starting to become a little frustrated.

PS. This thread is done in fun. I wish no ill will towards this member and am comfortable with the fact that they should win the auctions since they're bidding more than me. Just wish this guy would lose internet access for a couple weeks or something.

Admittedly, I do hate finishing second on an item that I really want, and admittedly I'll sometimes mutter a few curse words at that high bidder such as

LOL

Finishing third or worse don't bother me for some reason.

Joester..........we have fought over 71's quite a bit and made some sellers far far to much money...though
we also work together on some items...........and he sure has nice stuff for sale to....

that guy is all over. He can be frustrating at times .. but I just wait for the next one. Downside is that the next one may be a long time coming.

About a year ago I started 71 bb in 8 or better. Craveking was working on the set at the same time. That was costly, but sometimes you just have to win.

Hey Art,

Did you go after that 1893? Red Cross Dempsey Fitzpatrick card that sold for just under $500? I can't believe people are so willing to spend $500 on some minor league baseball player when 100 year old rarities like that are still floating around.

By the way, that Leister Dempsey I sold you, all my others from that set graded 8 or 9. Hope yours does too.

Mine would have to be Mamamint. A very aggressive bidder on high-end graded vintage cards. It makes it tougher to purchase cards for my 1954 Topps registry set.

My eBay nemesis is anybody who has the name of the player of the piece that I am trying to win. For example: a couple months ago I was trying to win a pair of Gary Sheffield game worn socks, in the last 3 seconds, some guy with the eBay username of something like "gsheffield11" outbid me. Everytime I see someone with a username like that of the player I'm buying, it gets kinda scary

My main nemesis on Grady Sizemore stuff was NARU'd about a year ago, so it's been smooth sailing. I made a friend of the guy who was bidding me up and out on Old Judge Golds, so that's been easy, too. So basically my nemesis is everyone else in the world except those two guys.
