I have heard that if you have lost money through incorrect grading or wrong information, PCGS will buy the coin from you at the purchased price.

I'm surprised tnfc didn't spot this.

I sent tnfc an email through the system notifying them that the coin sold was not a T1 but a T2 and what its value really is. There is a certain collectible value for PCGS mechanical errors but definitely not what the bidder bid! I have one myself that I bid specifically for the mechanical error value.



But again, now that I think of it, Maybe the reverse photo's got mixed up in the auction?? Its happened before.

Oh well, hopefully the seller will notify the buyer and get it straightened out.

The reverse in Lee's pics is a Type I.

The obverse looks like a type II.

Maybe the pics were mixed up.

I've seen this a lot on the Type I and Type II 1976 Ikes.
