Stamps....

Just got back from the post office and saw these. No idea if they've been out forever or not but new to me and thought I'd share.

  • Cool, those look like early 50's Bowman cards.

    They came out last summer.

They also are available in Post Cards.

When I was in grade school I collected airmail stamps and first date of issue stamps.

I think this would be a nice one to collect - here's one on ebay.

The envelopes are usually very well done - the stamps are in groups of like 4 - depending on size - and stamped "first date of issue"

I'm not a stamp guy and don't remember much else.

  • I just picked up a sheet of the Sugar Ray Robinson stamps. Just like you I had no idea they were out, for how long they've been out and stuff but saw the ad while standing in line and couldn't resist.

Storm, do you know if they have post cards for the Sugar Ray as well? Is the Robinson just an issue from a continuing string of releases consisting of boxers? Are there others?

Thanks in advance for any help guys.

They are cool and I did buy a sheet. Frankly though after taking it home and looking at it for a few minutes, I got tired of it and decided to use it for postage. I used the Mantle stamps for the people I liked the best. LOL

I did what Steve did. I bought a sheet to keep, but I ran out of stamps and was too lazy to go to the post office. Maybe I will get another sheet eventually.
