I have mint state examples of each other year of the Capped Bust Half Dime series, but don't yet have one from 1837. If you have one that you are willing to part with, please send me a PM. PCGS please. Goal grade is MS65, will "settle" for 64.
I run across half dimes all the time.. I have been looking for you. If you happen to run accross any MS64 or better capped bust dimes, please let me know....

Thanks, George! As you know too, the 64+ dimes are toughies. PCGS or NGC or ANACS, does it matter?
Yes, they are tough.... I would prefer PCGS but NGC will do if the coin is all there for the grade.. All orignal skin if possible. No bright whites.. Nice toning would be a plus.... I have been trying to collect MS65 or better but they just don't exsist or I should say no one is letting them go, so I starting with PQ MS64's... I do have a 1835 MS64 duplicate for trade if you know anyone...
I finally got around to digging through my desk and guess what?
I didn't find one.
Although I did also finally look at the PoP reports and see this is a POP 5 / 4 coin. Do we know if any of the 4 higher ones were upgrades or is the 5 pop on this one the actual numbers?
Would PCGS every share info on who those 5 were made by? Is there any way to track down where these are at?
This thread needs a happy ending, lets try and get you the freaking coin.

Nope, for all we know all 9 in that figure could be the same coin.

No way. You could search all of the registry sets that include this coin looking for them?
This is what the "prey" looks like:
