The Superior Pre Long Beach Auction Catalog arrived today.

Near the, the Peace Dollar Guy Collection has 61 ROLLS of 1921 Peace Dolars up for bids. These are broken into 10 different lots of from a single roll upto 9 rolls!

Thats a lot of 1921 Peace Dollars!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.



The name is LEE!

    The rolls are sorted according to the owners grades and run from Very Good to Extra Fine!

    Thats 1,220 1921 Peace Dollars!

    This guy has literally been hoarding these for years!
    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    We'll see how he does, but I have to question the wisdom of hoarding these for years and then just consigning all of them (hey, I hope its all of them) into a single auction where they are sold as vast dump lots.

    I was amazed when I saw that too. I don't know how prices will be affected by selling them all at once, though.

    THat is a lot. If it were my hoard, I think I would take a road trip selling these off in much smaller increments across the west coast.

    Interesting that it has been mentioned that the 1921 Peace Dollar auction hoard grades are VG to XF, and from the description in this thread apparently do not include any mint state coins..

    I got my first 1921 Peace Dollar for melt value about 6 months ago (cherrypicking at its finest). Ever since then, I've admired the high relief and I also got the catalogue today. That's a lot of peace dollars for anyone, much less ALL HIGH RELIEFS!
