Findings from 4 rolls of Halves today

I picked up 4 rolls of half dollars at the bank today. It's a brand new bank that's only been open for six months maybe. They didn't even know if they had any and had to go to a back room to find them. They have a couple more rolls so maybe I'll get those next week...

The good:

1967 and a 1968-D

The odd:

There was a 1977 with part of it cut off, a clipped planchet maybe? It's missing metal from just beneath "In" to just under the "9" so not much is missing, maybe 3 to 5% of the metal is my guess and it is a straight cut if that matters.

And the ugly:

The other coin that stood out was a 1984-D worn down to VF/XF, definitely the most worn coin in the bunch; I imagine it could have been someone's pocket piece.

There were 21 different dates & mintmarks out of the 80 coins. Oh, and NO coins after 1989.

How did you manage to buy four rolls of these? I asked for some rolls of halves at my bank in Denver and they told me I'd have to make an
    order for $500 minimum.

mr1874....I just asked if they had any. It's not even my bank either!!! It's the new bank in town, I wonder how long it will be until they ask me to open an account if I want to keep getting coins there, lol.

I went there to mail a couple things I had sold on eBay. The Post Office has a window there where the bank tellers take your mail. They don't have a clue about what they are doing. They took a big package from me and mailed it at Media Mail rate. I even told the girl that the postage amount was too low.

No bank here requires you to have an account to take junk halves. Take their $2 bills and Sacajawhoa's too, and you'll be their favorite.
