Please help - what is the longest it takes for a regular 10 day turnaround to be entered?

Hey, I just sent a package to PSA on 01/18 that is a regular 10 day turnaround - is it too early for me to worry about the submission not being entered yet? My only only experience was a package I sent a few weeks ago that was 20 day turnaround for autographs, it was entered in 3 days and graded in like 12 - was that just an exception, or should I worry if the submission hasn't been entered yet? What is the longest amount of time it has take for your 10 day turnaround to at least be entered? Please help and advise as I am a novice with actually sending out these orders.

They will sometimes hold the package in their possession for up to two weeks before even entering it in the system, thus your 10 day turn around begins on the date they decide to enter it. Just check your delivery confirmation to make sure they received it and then be patient, very patient.

The reason I am freaking out is because I checked my receipt and noticed that the postal worker sent the wrong package registered and insured - meaning my package to PSA was sent only priority mail with no tracking number. I had a big stack of packages to mail off that day and had the ones marked that were registered - but the wrong one was sent registered and insured. I have never been so worried about anything collectibles related in my life - while I don't want to jinx myself by saying never, I have never had a priority mail package lost in 8 years of eBay.....so I'm feeling a little better about that. However, this is still insane and I should have paid extra attention to my packages at the post office - my mistake and I feel like an idiot. Only a 6 card submission but still means a lot to me based on what is in it. What is longest it has taken for any of your 10 day orders to be entered? I did mark "10 day turnaround" on the outside of the package, however I didn't put my member number or submission number on the outside of the package like last time - please advise, I am stressed about this like you wouldn't believe.

  • First, there appears to be a larger than normal gap between receiving packages and entering the order in the system at this time. I am speaking from personal experience and reading various posts.

If you are really concerned about the package, perhaps you should contact customer service. If it was me, I would give it until the end of next week....but that is easier to say since they are not my cards.

    Good luck.

first off you dont know when your package got to psa since it wasnt sent registered it might take a while to get there. Usually in my experience, most packages get logged by two weeks after I have sent them. Usually the ones I send registered get there faster/logged in than the ones I dont send registered (kinda of a no brainer there). I sent a package registered just before New Years, it was logged in on 1/8. So that was over a week even with a holiday.

I am not sure how they could have not sent the right one registered. Didnt you fill out the little white insurance receipt that you have to fill out with your address, PSA's address and value?? Next time only take your registered up to the counter by themselves. Or only give them those first, other packages after they have handled the registered ones.

I had a stack of like 25 packages with certain ones marked in the upper right corner in sharpie how they were meant to be sent (i.e. First class, Priority with insurance for $150). I just let the postal worker fill everything out, only took a few minutes for all 25 packages. I do this a lot with eBay items. Unfortunately, as I said before, I am a novice with the grading thing and I really haven't sent many items registered mail. I should have payed more attention and I know it is my mistake, trust me - it will never happen again. However, I will worry like crazy until it is entered.

    Thanks,
