Home Buy, Sell, & Trade - U.S. Coins

WTB: Something for $20 :-)

So I found a $20 bill on the ground and I've decided it's a mandate that I should buy a coin for $20. I'm willing to be flexible and will either consider $20 shipped or $20 plus shipping. I've decided for kicks to entertain offers to sell me a coin in that price range.

Here are my conditions:
No moderns
(i.e. no ike dollars and up, no kennedy halves, no washington quarters 1965+, no roosies (don't like 'em), no Jefferson 5c, no non-wheat lincolns)
No foreign stuff - US only
No modern bullion
No cleaned crap
No lots - one coin only
No dateless wonders (e.g. I wonder when it was made? I wonder what it used to be?)

I just want a nice, problem-free example of an older US coin, preferably in some sort of decent condition.

Post some photos! Let's make this fun image If I like what you offer, I'll buy it!

(I prefer to pay by PayPal, but I'll add on 3% to our agreed upon price to eat the fee.)

I believe I would consider that coin for $20.

Thanks to the several people who have offered up their particular coins. The coins have all been nice, but not exactly what I was looking for. I'm still entertaining suggestions. Come on, people, I'm sure you have a $20 coin you would like to sell!

Since I like your shopping approach so much, I am gonna give you a choice. (And I might steal the idea of the "$20 challenge" myself, later.) image

For your consideration, I have an 1826 Coronet large cent or an 1857 Flying Eagle cent. Both are no-nonsense G4 to G6 coins.

(Actually, the Flyer might be a tad closer to a strong VG, really, but it has a soft strike on the eagle's head and tail.)

Take yer pick for $20 plus the PayPal fee you offered and a buck to ship.

Go out and find another twenty bucks and take both! image

Or how about this? I want a few bucks more than $20 ($26 shipped) but it's close, right? How many Carson City coins can you find in this range?
