Players collecting their own cards... Have you ever sold to them?

I've been selling a lot of BCDP highend Singles as well as lots of chrome cards of these younger players... And players are actually buying their own cards. I know Steven Evarts, Matt Mcbride, philip Hughes buy their own stuff direct from ebay. As well as Aaron Thompsons dad who I've had multiple convos with, actually gave him some of my 1/1 cards for free. Anyways has anyone sold a card to a player or a family member?

  • I'm getting cards of Josh Rupe(Texas Rangers pitcher) for his family right now. His cousin and I grew up together, went to school together from kindergarten til high school graduation. We're best friends. I know his whole family, all his uncles/aunts, nieces/nephews, and grandparents. So, I'm actually picking up cards for them, or should I say trying to.

I gave some to Ryan Minor(former Oriole), he lives in my hometown. We've done some work together, he's real cool. He plays some winterleague ball down south as well. I had some cards of his, so I just gave em to him.

Randymoss-I know you get tons of cards(I've seen some of posts discussing cases, etc), if you have any Rupes, please let me know. Thanks!

  • My nephew was drafted last spring and signed for $600K with the Red Sox. He says one of his goals is to get a baseball card contract. I'm sure when that happens I'll be hoarding all the cards of him that I can for our family.

Ill check, I just actually donated a ton of 2002 Bowman Draft, 2001 Bowman Draft to my local Highschool thrift shop And I believe he is in one of those sets if not mistaken.
  • Ryan Kalish, could have went to the University of Virginia, but opted to sign with the Red Sox. Although he is from NJ, his parents are from Boston so it's great for the whole family.

I believe his first real rookie was in 2002 Bowman, but a lot of 2005/2006 product has "rookie" cards of him as well.
