Need help with Storing Medals

I would appreciate any input you can give. In regard to SILVER Medals that can not be slabbed because of either size or attached bales, etc. I would like to know if PACIFIC SILVER CLOTH would be regarded as the best type of material to let the medal rest on? I have acquired archivally safe acid free boxes and poly fiber fill, but wanted to be sure that the silver cloth would be good for long term storage. My thanks - HC

I keep mine in boxes. I buy jewelry boxes at a hobby store that come with a filler that appears to be plastic of some sort. I then cut a non-bleached piece of cotton batting (filler from a quilt als o available from the hobby store) and put the medal on that. Then I put another piece of batting on top of the medal.
