I hate it when my PSA 6 is better than my PSA 8

I've got a couple of 1971 Milk Duds Rose cards one graded 8 and the other graded 6. The 8 really belongs in a 4 holder, IMHO.
Now, I paid good money for the 8, but it came in mid-Dec with about 100 other cards and I obviously didn't pay enough attention.
What to do?

Option C) Keep the 6 and sell the 8
It's all up to you, John. Most of us here have had similar experiences. I have had some Registry experiences where I tend to be competitive and sometimes will defer to the holder even though my eye says the 8 is better than the 9. For my personal collection (long-term collection, that is), I keep the highest quality cards. Eye appeal rules much more than a numerical grade that was (sometimes) arbitrarily awarded by PSA or any other grading company.

'fraid that is pretty much the case.
"Buy the Slab, Not the Card."
The market does not care much what the card looks like.
The market wants wealth-creation via high numerical grades.
Often, non-professional graders (like most of us here) do not
see the pos/neg aspects of a card that the pros catch with
high-mag, great lighting, and carefull study.
True EX/MNT cards are cards that at first look would have been gems.
They were usually centered well, have nice ink and gloss etc. They are allowed 2 soft corners.
A card graded PSA 8 can be centered 70/30 and have a soft corner have a dot etc.
I have a few 6's that I too favor over some 8's
In the Coin world a coin graded AU58 can be much nicer then one graded Mint state 60 or even 61 for that matter.
