fake Money orders and other things

I work where we get a lot of fake checks of all kinds. You have to check and double check everything and hope for the best. I got a travelers check last night and I thought it was fake but apparently it was not. I called on it and she gave me a authorization code, but then we will see what happens since the payee was altered. I told her this and she said she would accept it if another name was written so I took it telling my customer it would come out of his account if it came back.

I just wanted to also tell you that there are fake Postal Money Orders out there too! If you take a credit card and you don't see the person and the signature you can be out of luck too. You know, Idenity theft!
