In short, it means nothing...or whatever you want it to mean. It is a function of the board software that, while active, is not used. People use it for fun or to screw with others. It is NOT like an ebay user rating....
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

From what I've seen the rating means very little. However the direction your
rating is moving may be important. The number of people who have rated you
might be more important than your rating as well.

Was Bo Derek a 10 or was Bo Derek a 1 ?
Another way to know 10 is your highest scrore is to look at the rating of well respected forum members, Lucy Bop and Mark Feld come to mind, and see where they are, usually high. It seems to me new people making serious forum contributions, who allow themselves to be rated, often start out with 10's but gradually get dragged down and end up turning the thing off.
It's an interesting forum feature but content of any post, and not the user rating, is what's important, kind of like buying the coin and not the holder.
