yea i think so. I see that there are already being presaled on ebay. I know that the mint looks at those kinf of presales to 1 screw the people who are presaling by delayng releases., 2 they can basis there price per proof set on the presale market value.

The CDN will reduce the type to the microscopic

size to fit on a microdot, the size of a mere period .

One will need very good eyes, when this occures.

I doubt very highly that you will be able to get the proof dollars at the banks.

Right, no Proofs at the banks.

But they are supposed to have the $1's. I may go to the bank instead of buy rolls from the Mint, I'm sure the Mint will have a big mark up, and these will already be expensive enough.

What's the word on Silver Prez $1 ?? I know they discussed it.

JMHO, I may pick up a set or two on the first day (regular proof), but be aware, they will probably have a ton of these, so I'm not expecting any kind of early sellout. So I don't see how Ebay people will be able to profit from this.

FWIW, the Coin World Online edition out today gives a story with 2007 Mint product prices. Some go up, some go down, and some stay the same.
The regular Proof set, which will now be a 14-coin set, goes up from $22.95 to $26.95. Very reasonable.
The 5-coin cu-ni quarter proof set goes down from $15.95 to $13.95.
The 14-coin silver proof set goes up from $37.95 to $44.95.
The 5-coin silver quarter proof set goes up from $23.95 to $25.95.
The Mint Set, now 28 coins, goes up from $16.95 to $22.95. Very reasonable, as face goes up $8!

There is no mention in the story about a four-coin Proof dollar set being sold individually.

What makes up those 14 coins?

...and no doubt it will be a 3 holder proof set. Ugh. So much for my mint boxes that hold only 2 holders per year.

Wow! One of each coin for 2007! Do you think I can eclipse the $3.8 million I spent last year on Mint products? image
  • Options
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the proof set boxes that were designed for ten 2-holder quarter sets.

I wonder if they will produce a 3-holder set [cent, nickel, dime, half] [quarters] [dollars] or if they will produce two 2-holder sets [cent, nickel, dime, half] [quarters] and [cent, nickel, dime, half] [dollars]. Don't forget about both clad issues and silver issues for the pres dollars...

CDN may just decide to publish the coins that are actually available at their quoted prices.

That should get it down to a quarter page or so.

But I never buy the State Quarter 5 coin sets, because they come in the proof full sets.

Will the Presidential Dollars be the same way? or will we HAVE to buy the seperate sets to get them?

I just want to be sure.

The four Presidential Dollars will be included in the full Proof Set, which will have 14 coins in three plastic shells (cent-nickel-dime-half-Sacagawea; five state quarters; four President Dollars).

We have it on good authority that the shell with the four dollars will PROBABLY be offered separately, just as the five state quarters are now, but it is not official yet.
