Interesting new Roosevelt Doubled Die on 1963 MS.

I know it's a bit hard to see with my crappy pics, but there is a doubling of the left side of the flame just where it emerges from the torch.

It is especially interesting because the doubling only shows at this one spot near the center of the coin (much like the Minnesota state quarters).

This is Coneca DDR-022, and is the third Doubled Die I discovered in 2006.

The other two were both Frankies: A new DDO on a 1962 proof (sorry no pix)

and DDO-002 on a 1962-D:

It's actually a TDO.

This one is PCGS MS65 FBL.

I found a second example of this 62-D in an NGC65 slab...it is currently waiting to be crossed over, hopefully w/FBL designation.

BTW- The reason I am posting this in the RegForumis because that is where all the cool Roosie guys hang!

Don't ever post Roosie stuff in the U.S. Coin Forum, it would go against the un-written Roosie gang rules! imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimage

This is a very kewl discovery by the way!

    Greg,

That is pretty cool. I can see the doubling. I found a 1972-P Roosie with reverse doubling and I was thinking on figuring out how to get a number assigned to it and then find out who would put the # on the slab.

    Nice finds image
