MS 67 PCGS Ike

I don't have a photo, but is an MS 67 Ike supposed to have dings on the cheek and rubs on the jaw and eyebrow?

It's not a fantastic looking coin. What level do I have to go to to buy a nice silver Ike?

It's a '73 s. - PCGS MS67.

I would not expect distracting marks in prime focal areas for an MS67 silver Ike. Most 68s are pretty clean. (I'm talking PCGS graded Ikes).

So what recourse do have? I didn't pay an inordiante amount for the coin ($20) but I am unhappy with the grading. I feel that for an MS 67, I should have a nice coin.

For $20, you got a deal. Be happy with that grade.

I've got some Ikes, graded by PCGS as MS 67s, that have very visible rubs that I thought would have made them a 66, but at $20 for your coin I don't think you can complain too much.

Lets see a picture so we know what we're talking about....

a Silver MS67 Ike will have some visable hits....

In my experience..... you damn near have to submit a flawless one to get a MS68.....

return the coin (or resell it) and keep looking for one. You should be happy with the coin, not just the grade on the holder. If you haven't figured it out yet, pcgs and all tpg's stink. There's no such thing as a top tier service.

Check out my website for plenty of pics of MS65-68 ikes.

Also check out my top set for a MS69 Silver Ike.

67's will have a little chatter on them. That date is worth about $30-45 in 67. For $20 you got a good deal.

I will keep it, but I don't know if I'll be cracking this one out to go in my Dansco. I know I got a pretty good deal, I'm just not impressed with the 67 in this case. I have a 67 quarter in 67 that is just stunning.

I'm not upset, not by any means - just not happy with what a MS 67 Ike looks like, I guess.
