Which coins are 'must have' coins for a world coin collector ?

My entry is the famous 1965 Churchill Crown - no World Collection is complete without one.

I could be wrong but I am sure I read an article in Coin News about their being a RARE Churchill crown variety, and it's not the matt proof. Apparently there are some which have Oscar Nerman's (designer) initials ON to the left hand side of Churchill’s shoulder area. Anyone else hear or know of this?

I've wanted one ever since I started collecting coins in elementary school.

I second the pillar dollar and Maria Theresa dollar. Years ago I read an article about creating a coin table. The author suggested buying a coffee table with a glass top in which to store interesting yet inexpensive coins to stimulate conversation with non-collector friends. The three coins I remember are the Maria Theresa taler, Japanese ichibu gin (rectangular), and Brazilian 960 reis from the period of Portuguese royal exile. I don't think the Churchill crown was on the list.
