1921 VAM-3A2 Question

Among the eBay cherries that came today was a 1921 VAM-3A2, the spiked tail feathers with a lump at the top of the R of DOLLAR. I'd grade it AU55. It was a surprise that it is not among the varieties in the VAMView price guide. Anyone have an idea of a value range for a piece around that grade? Not selling it, but good for the spreadsheet and insurance. First one of these I managed to cherry.

I Got a 1921 3a1 on Ebay pcgs ms63 holder for $65 mines a R-5..
I think it is a interesting vam.. All Three Die State's That is why i Bought it
Yours is a R-6 More Interesting Maybe $145

Cool, and thanks Dave. I got mine on eBay for under $15. Funny thing is that I bought it because the obverse cracks were new to me and I wanted to check the whole coin out. Didn't even notice the tail feather break on the reverse until I had it in hand.

I haven't seen any sales records to know what this VAM is worth, but here's mine: Link I bought it from DLRC for a premium because I just thought it was a neat VAM since you could see the spike so easily. I hope PCGS will eventually attribute it this VAM.

Wow, a PCGS gem! Mine is a lowly AU, but a very decent eBay buy nonetheless. Nice to have finally found one of them.

All you had to do was ask. I have several of them. The one in the signature line is the very first VAM I ever cherry picked and is what turned me on to VAMming. It's never been so fun.
