So, what's my team called?

I have a general idea what constitutes "modern" coins (those with a picture of a president, for example). I also understand that generally speaking, bust, liberty seated and even Baber coinage might be referred to as "classic". However, what about the Walkers and Mercs and Buffalos and SLQs? What is the proper way to reference those series? Would "renaissance" be an appropriate tag? Just wondering.
