Hardcore HOCKEY guys ..... do you know this name?

Frank Bialowas ---- played with the Philadelphia Phantoms of the AHL ???? I don't follow hockey and have known him for a year now and just today found out he was somewhat of a minor league legend as a "goon" image. He is a job site super for a bulider who I visit weekly and never has he mentioned hockey until I caught wind and asked him about it image

softparade - I was about to respond about having a card of his from 75-76 OPC but that was Dwight Bialowis with I think the California Golden Seals. If my memory serves the picture was a facial shot and he had a black eye. Maybe, Dwight was Frank's father.
  • I think his nickname was the Animal.......

yeah, he told me that today. The Animal it is ..... I speak to him on a regular basis. Nice guy who gets upset quickly when the wrong material is sent to his job ... he has a 4 ft long pony tail. I asked him why the hell he never mentioned hockey before .... he says he has a spare bobble head for me image

His nickname was "The Animal" and he's somewhat of legend in Phantoms lore here in Philly where we've always liked a good hockey fight.
  • Dwight Bialowas was a North Star.

If memory serves me correct, he was photographed for one of his 70s cards with a shiner.

Perhaps he liked to mix it up as well.

Tell Sally to cut his ponytailimage
