"Slabbed" Sports Illustrated Magazines
I have a nice issue of Sports Illustrated that is autographed by Pete Rose. Does anyone think somewhere down the road that Psa will authenticate auto's on magazines ? It seems they could pull some slabs from the comic book side that may fit sports illustrated issues. Could be lucrative for them in my opinion, I know a lot of people collect old Sports Mags and it seems to me that slabbing them would at least be as lucrative as ticket grading or even more so.

That is a good point and I didn't know that comic books could be slabbed. I guess though that you could scan it first.
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Loaned ? I thought that was a down payment on the blowup doll ?
<< <i>I would mind getting it slabbed!!!!!!!!!!!!!...........If it was the swinsuit issue.
Most of the swimsuit issues would come back with the "st" qualifier im sure.

on request.
The comic collectors usually have their nicest copy slabbed, and keep
a circulated raw copy for "reading."
EDITED TO ADD: I just discovered that CU is grading precious stones.
Can graded and encapsulated tulip-bulbs be far behind?

<< <i>Hmmmmmm, Maybe Psa should buy CGC, Grade comics, Sports Mags, Etc.... >>
Actually, CGC is a sister company of SGC, just as PCGS is to PSA. I agree though, I would like to see PSA/DNA be able to authenticate/slab autographed sports magazines

It's something they should consider, IMHO. I think it would be popular enough to be worth undertaking.
In any case, just like ticket grading, the grading of game programs/yearbooks would seem to be a worthwhile service for those attempting to buy/sell programs from significant sporting events or even for those who attempt to collect regular season programs and/or yearbooks from a certain team. It would certainly solve my current dilemma of how to store the darn things and keep them well-preserved. Of course, Stone's point of not being able to look at them is certainly a MAJOR drawback.
While we're on the subject, here's one more item I'd like to see PSA start to grade (not mine, by the way, pulled it off ebay - my floors aren't that nice) :
Not quite, they are 2 different companys and have no business relationship together. 2 different CEO etc.
One is located in NJ, the other in Florida.
NGC is another company under the umbrella, but owned and operated independently of one another.
