How to report scammers to ebay

For anyone wondering how to report scammers to ebay...its really easy and they actually react pretty quickly.

Find the auction you are interested in and 'Copy' the auction number.

Go to this link Report Scammers

Paste the number in the top box, then in the text box just say "This listing is a fake" or whatever applies. For those times when some hijacked acct is listing a bunch of fake morgans or trade dollars, I just paste one listing id, then tell them "This listing and all others by this seller are fakes. Please remove".

I've reported fakes on three separate occasions. However, I have no idea what Ebay did about it.

One of the auctions was an electroplated 1901-s Barber Quarter, which was an obvious counterfeit.

Thanks for writing this thread and starting discussion.

Different way to do it, I'll check it out. I always go to help and type in counterfeit. Then click on
sellers rules at the bottom, then paste the auction number and type what I want to tell them.
Fake, or whatever. And, believe you me, it works. I dumped 4 Chinese sellers last night selling
the same exact coin (different sellers)! And it was a counterfeit to boot. They are not on the market
today. I do this almost every night and just do an advanced search and check the English Pounds
currency and see what pops up. I could sure use some help. Been doing this for past 6 months
almost every night. I used to warn the buyers but that's a big problem. One seller complained I
was interfering with his auction and I got warned by E-bay, a no-no for sure. Most of us use the
bay and if we all just did one problem a night it would help get rid of these arses quickly. They would
quit listing as it would become too much trouble.
    I'll try the scamming link.

  • I love the ask the seller a question feature on ebay. Very easy to trip up a scammer and warn the unwary at the same time .
