Very nice. Who dropped it?

STONE

No, but I like that one. They're pretty rare and expensive!

ah, the 13 star 1797 half dime! a Rare coin! probably fewer than 100 exist in any condition.

Yours looks to have VG10 details, nearly Fine, with surfaces that net it to what? AG, Good?

RichieURich

Nice coin, Seemyauction! Yes I had 2 but just sold one this week.

Baley

Rich, you have all the good stuff! both were 13 stars?

RichieURich

Baley, yes both were 13 stars half dimes, my favorite coin of 1797. The half dollar I consider basically unaffordable.

Baley

this somehow manages to be at the same time both uglier and prettier than most survivors

one of my favorites too

RichieURich

Baley, that is a nice one although of course it is holed. That is possibly one of the few holed coins whose appearance would be enhanced by a quality repair.

That is a tough repair the B is gone and would have to be rebuilt......
