The Ultimate Tier
I am strictly a collector/investor so I do not know if this is at all practical for professionals.
But, I think an independent ( of TPG's) committee of say 7 to 10 qualified professional dealers with a reputation for a great numismatic eye, got together to form a trade group to grade TPG coins in say 66 and higher for the purpose of establishing an ultimate tier class of coins.
Perhaps they would not charge for this service.
A quality control group for TPG coins already out there if you will.
They would review the coin for grade assigned on the slab and give it a thumbs up ( to mean they agree with the grade or could grade higher) or a thumbs down.
Their decisions would then be inputted into a new database using the same TPG identification numbers.
In essence , it would be professionals grading professionals grading.
Regardless of what anyone thought as to the persons making up this group they would all have in common an eye for quality.
This new oversight and review service for MS 66 coins and up would go along way to clean up what is 'floating' around out there and develop a new class of ultimate tier coins for collectors and dealers alike.
Am I dreaming or is their any merit to this?

I manage money. I earn money. I save money .
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
