The Paris, Tenn find by Al Rosen

A ton of vintage unopened. I think it was about 500 boxes - from 54 and 55 both Topps and Bowman.

  • The Atlanta basement find of 1915 cracker Jacks.....this "find" supplied many of the PSA 8's for the 1915 sets...this find also made the dichotomy between 1914 and 1915 Cracker Jacks even greater...The two sets, though looking alike in front, are extremely different as far as difficulty goes....
  • Some more information about Rosen here...

Perhaps as interesting are the articles posted on Mile High Comics webpage.

Some are simply amazing. If you're a collector (and you clearly are, as you're reading this board) you owe it to yourself to explore this link.

One of the best finds is the subject of a THIRTEEN part series titled the "Mile High II Collection." Check it out. You won't be disappointed. I promise.

[Edited to say:] I've never been a comic guy, but the stories on this page are incredible. The author's passion for his hobby (and business) comes through so clearly. Seriously...do your self a favor and block out an hour to sit down and read some of the stories he's posted. They're just great.

Purchaser of the Boston, MA 1952 Topps Find, including over 6,000 Gem Mint high numbers of which there were 65 Mickey Mantle rookies. Sotheby's Auction House called it, "The greatest find of baseball cards ever." It's value in the year 2000? Over $15 million

WOW! Imagine finding 65 '52 Mantles. OK back to reality.
