Dungy says Colts have to overcome the "Patriots mystique"

He is right of course and it has haunted the Colts for a long time. Should be a great game.

If one more analyst picks the Colts to win and move on then I would say it's official................

My Colts have zero chance of winning.

I cringe everytime I hear another EXPERT pick the Colts.

I'm nervous already, and you and Dungy are right. There is a mystique that must be overcome.

There were only two undefeated home teams all year, and the Patriots just be the other one last week.
Vinateiri has only missed three field goals all year, and two were in the Patriots game earlier this year.

    Should be a great game.

  • i think its going to be a nailbiter. Colts have a much better team, but Pats dont crack under the pressure (and they have a "better" big game QB.

I think this is a mistake for Dungy to say this. Not a big deal but I think it could place a tinge of doubt in the back of his player's minds, and his mind most of all. Just something that didn't need to be said.

I would guess that he probably already talked about this with the players, they all know their history of playing the Pats and what has
happened in the past so maybe being upfront about the importance of not being intimidated could be a good thing.

I agree with ya. Sometimes though I think some coaches windup outsmarting themselves. Can you imagine Lombardi talking like that? No way. He'd say to his players, "Go out and kick their ass! LOL

The Colts have had our number the last two times we have played. I am not taking the Colts lightly nor do I think the Patriots are either.

Believe me I am just as stressed about this Colts team as I was the Chargers, if we do beat them I am overley confident that we will be Super Bowl champs once again.

Another thing, I have this gut wrenching feeling that # 4 will possibley hit a late 50 yard FG to beat us.......image

I gotta strongly agree with you. I just don't see the Bears or the Saints possibly winning the Super Bowl.
  • Brady playing very well. Asante Samuels having a monster game thus far. holy crap! TD!

I guess they didn't do too well overcoming that "mystique" thing, did they?

Ho-hum. Another Patriots Super Bowl. Maybe if the weather is nice it will be a good day to go out and do something. I can't stand the thought of two more weeks of the deification of Brady.
  • colts tied it up...

Comon im tired of seeing brady in the superbowl.
