Value of old coin books

ajaanajaan Posts: 17,514 ✭✭✭✭✭
I don't know if this is the correct forum or not. If it isn't, please ignore.

Is there a value guide for old coin books? I have three old price guide books and I'm interested if they are worth much:

1. Handbook of United States Coins (Blue Book) 6th ed. 1948

2. Standard Catalogue of United States Coins 1945 edition by Wayte Raymond, Inc. New York

3. A Guide Book of United States Coins (Red Book) 16th ed. 1963

All books are in excellent, but used, condition.

Thanks.

Yes. There is nothing like a recent auction realization when dealing in thin market items such as these.
    All glory is fleeting.
  • There is collector interest in old red books. The current red books have a section in the back entitled "The Red Book as a Collectible" with the issue price and values. For example: your 1963 red book was priced at $1.75 and shows a current value of $4.00 in fine and $5.00 in very fine. image
