Some people are really, really stupid.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Great description and picture. Makes me want to hurry and bid. No feedback, no picture, no paypal . I wonder who will win the item? I think the seller is out his listing fee. I see people list common coins or cards for super high prices , hoping and praying that there is someone more stupid than themself.

"a nother" - I'm guessing the person wrote the ad from a trailer in central Mississippi.

Guys , I figured it out. I think that we , including me, especially me , have mis judged this fine person. I just had a revelation from the god of the less mighty, thats its not his fault. Maybe he used paintchips instead of sugar to sweeten his CoCo-puffs as a child. Maybe his pet rock dissappeared one day and he was tramatized. Being from Idaho, maybe he went out to pick flowers up on the range, and was caught and repramanded by some enviornmental terrorist wacko for picking an endangered species. Maybe his favorite team lost in the NFL playoffs and he's trapped in some new variety of temporary insanity that hasn't been discovered yet. I saw something with my wife this past week on the telly about a guy that brutalized and murdered a number of women, who's defense was that he was born with a defective brain and thus not responsible , at the time, for his actions. There HAS to be some reason , that maybe we have just never considered , for him to wake up one beautiful day, and proclaim to the ebay world, I have a great idea.

My wife and I have 5 sons and I always have this re-occurring dream that this day will be nice and quiet, that we will live in harmony in our household, that my mother-in - law will get a labodome or the eqivilent(SP?) . Then I wake up . Why can't I be the one to find these Tony Gwynn cards that no one has ever seen or heard of ? Why can't I find the toast or pop-tarts that has the image of Jesus or Bill Clinton on it and make my life's fortune ? Last year someone sold , on Ebay , THE rock that David slew Goliath with, Why didn't I find it? Life is not fair. I wish with all my heart that I was more of a visionary like this Ebay brother. YES , we have been to hard on him. Enjoy.

All of these kind of listings are over/under gambling games.

    Players put up $100 each.

The participants bet on how many visits will be registered by the
    counter when the listing expires.

Closest two players - one over, one under - split the pot.

    Side-bets are often made on:

    Will anyone bid?
    How many bidders?
Will the listing be pulled by EBAY?
How many ASQ's will be received?

    And, so it goes.........

Storm, that's interesting - though, this particular auction has a childish look to it. But, one question - how does someone list an auction like that? Don't they have to pay the listing fee (I know they won't pay it, but don't you have to have a credit card on file with Ebay to list?) and when the listing gets bounced, won't Ebay go after the seller for compensation, in some way?

$4.80 is the maximum listing fee.
