Home Trading Cards & Memorabilia Forum

I posted this on the coin side, but thought you all would get a kick out of it... Read if you dare!

As you will find out, I was once a Card Collector (I am recovering), now a coin collector I have a ritual that I do... it's all explained in the story.

The Mad Coin Collector!

Enjoy and let me know what you think,
Ray

  • Okay Ray, now you are scaring me...I will fully admit that I sacrifice a card every few months. I give it to my son (who is now 2 1/2). He gets a big kick out of the shiny chrome cards...and I guess to him they taste pretty good.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

    This made me think...

Stamp guys have the American Philatelic Society and are referred to as philatelists.

Coin guys have the American Numismatic Society and are referred to as numismatists.

What the heck do card collectors have?

    And no, we're not cardiologists!

what latin word could be used for memorabilia cards... you would have your answer there.

how about "schedaphilists" Italian word for "card" (Scheda) combined with Greek word for "the love of" (philos)
