Congrats to the Saints

Eagles played well - Saints played better.

No complaints on an interesting season.

Good luck to the Saints the rest of the way.

Man 3 NFL East teams and now none. We all knew the beef was in the NFC South once again!

Only one team in that division ( NFC South ) worth talking about

I agree - the rest of the NFC South stunk it up this year.

    Congrats to the Saints!

Bucs still suck in any division--heck, Bucs would suck if they played in NFL Europe! image

You forget Gruden, Pinto Williams and Dickie Brooks, the three stooges of Tampa Bay.

Thanks daddy43 - you are a true fan and you and the Cowboys fans who regularly post here are class acts as well. There are also many other team's true fans and class acts on this forum.

The Eagles fans who regularly post here should be back very soon. Believe me, it was tough typing out those words to start this thread. Not tough at all to acknowledge a nice game played by the Saints, but tough in realizing another Eagles season is over.

I remember being a young boy just turned teenager and exactly where I was for the kickoff of the Saints' very first Pre-Season Game.

It's been a lotta years but it ain't over till it's over. I want to see them WIN the Super Bowl at least ONCE before I die. image

I've heard "shoulda, coulda, woulda" so many times that I could have thrown up and "Maybe next Year!"

One Game at a time. Funny, but as good a Season as they've had, I want to see them go all the way AND WIN!

I want to enjoy the moment (NOW) and what they've accomplished then forget it and get ready for next weekend. image
  • That game reminded me why I love NFL playoffs. A back and forth slugfest.
I think todays game will be like that also.

It's certainly not going out on a limb on my part when the Bears are -9 1/2 point favorites, but I can't see any way the Bears lose today's game. So when the Saints go to Soldier Field, I think the line will be about Bears a -6 1/2 point favorite. But I think the Saints have a decent chance of beating the Bears in that game. The Saints getting to the Super Bowl and winning it would be one heckuva story - and well deserved for an area which has suffered terribly from that hurricane.

    Very well stated Steve.

I just noticed a couple things and copied after seeing what I hadn't known before, the following:

<< <i>****THOUGH WOULD LIKE TO SEE SEAHAWKS AT EAGLES! >>

    "Maybe NEXT Year".

Sorry, couldn't resist. I've heard that saying One too many times.

    As for the betting lines:
in Saturday's Matchups the Dogs were the right side.

I'll go out on a limb and say it evens out today with both Favorites covering. (JMHO)

I'm remembering what some of the prognosticators said last night.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I understood that Shawn Alexander is OUT with a foot or ankle injury and the Bears'

Middle Backer, Urlacher is also out with an injury I can't recall at the moment. Is this correct?
  • Funny as it may sound-I was hoping the Eagles would win but it is good to see the Saints finally making positive strides in the playoffs. I think the Saints have a good chance vs. the Bears and a GREAT shot if they get the Seahawks. Either way it's a good story...........

Yep, best game I think was in Oct. against the Cowboys, they were driving toward a score late in the 4th quarter and then Lido Shepard
made that interception and ran for around 100 yards for the TD. The crowd chanting his name afterward. A great game.

Ya know, I have a confession to make. I've been gambling on Football for years and have always done quite well, BUT

THIS YEAR I have NOT sat to watch so much as ONE entire Game NOR have I wagered on one single game and I am

going to got thru this entire season purposely NOT making a wager.

All these years I've watched ALL the Bowl Games and Playoffs, but not this year.

If that's what it takes, then so be it. I don't need the aggravation anyway! image

First congrats to the Saints. The city will enjoy the success and needs the boost. If you have been to N.O. post Katrina you know that the situation there is far from a solution. In 11 years of working in the disaster response and recovery field I have never seen so much destruction. NYC Ground Zero was rough but this is miles and miles of bad road starting in Alabama and stretching past N.O. Same effect with different circumstances. A winning team will help the morale in the area.

Second, I'm proud to be an Eagles fan this morning. This team rose above adversity and proved that they are winners game after game. They were not supposed to win after McNabb went down but accepted the challenge.

Third, Joey you picked to wrong week to quit sniffing glue and switch to crack. Reid had a bad year? His team was in the same position as the Sucs and look at what they did. On the other hand Gruden put his team in the toilet and flushed.

"The NFC South rules!!!WoooooHooooooo!!!!!This is just part of the Bucs Master Plan to win the next Super Bowl!!!!WoooOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!You'll see!!!!We have them all right where we want them now!!!!WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!We'll be dominate...errrr dominant!!!!!

Turd Ferguson, sit down and practice your third draft pick coin toss.

Tough to disagree with what soFLPhillyfan said - you have to give the Eagles credit for this season, given the circumstances.
