Has anyone busted an 89 Score vending box ?

I noticed Steve has some 89 Score vending boxes for $150. Has anyone opened any of these or other Score vending boxes?
Are the Score vending boxes sturdier than thier Topps counterpart ? Anyone pulled any nice cards from a Score vending box?
I was thinking about getting one, but if my luck with them is like the ones I have with Topps vending boxes then I dont want to spend $150 bucks and get a bunch of near mint cards.

  • I had ripped alot of those back in the day....the boxes are the same type (shoddy) boxes that Topps uses.
You should get nice cards from them.....I used to put together mint sets....as for collation....you should get a Sanders in every box....some have 2....I had one that was 3.....

Same with the rest of the stars...

It's tough at $150 plus S&H though.....I mean you can go to shows and pick up sets at $65-$75 each.....if not cheaper if any dealers have a few.....

    Coin toss...

But with Steve...you can't really go wrong!!

Just my 2 cents...I'd throw in another $75 and bust that case of 88 FB cellos.....more bang for you buck and alot more chances for 10's!!

It doesn't make sense to me. You can buy PSA 10 commons all day long for about $10 a whack, and even the Sanders can be picked up for $125. It would be cheaper, and less stressful, to just buy the singles you need on the 'bay IMO, since it's basically impossible to make any money from breaking this box.

Learn something everyday. I never knew Score made vending boxes of that set.
